A Bird in the Hand

While chillin on the couch this morning doing my QT, there was suddenly this racket of dog maniacally skittering around on the hardwood floor and a light tapping on glass coming from the kitchen. I jumped up and found this terrified little sparrow who must have flown in through the open door frantically beating at the french door trying to get out and avoid being eaten by Dog.
So after tossing dog outside, so both me and the bird wouldn't get chomped, I chased the little guy around the house for 5 min of so before cornering him in the kitchen. (don't tell Lauren that it made a quick tour of one of the open cupboards) I scooped him up, snapped a few pics, and turned him loose on the porch. One of the neighbors, a older Swedish lady, was out and saw me come out the door and toss this bird. I got a funny look but no comment. I smiled, said "Mornin", and went back in. Who knows what she though.
And yes, Ma, I did wash my hands afterwards.
