the first of lasts

Today was the first day of my LAST week of clinical rotations in medical school. I cannot believe how fast the last four years have flown by. Absolutely crazy.

I finish my last week of pediatric nephrology (baby kidneys) this week. Then I have two more weeks of a course that everyone in my class has to take as kind of a wrap up session for the year. But i am intending to just show up and sit in a lecture hall all day and while boring, I think I can handle that (and I am going to wear jeans EVERY day - that's the best part). That is over March 7th and I am totally done then until graduation on May 11th!! My schedule worked out this way because I didn't take any time off earlier in med school and I also did some extra classes first and second year so that I had extra elective credit coming into fourth year. So if we are moving, I guess I'll have time to pack. If we are staying put in NC, Andy had gently suggested that maybe i get a job! (he's just kidding... i think)

My mail recently has certainly suggested that graduation draws near. There must be some list published somewhere of who graduates from med school each year because recently my mail has started to have things like this in it:

SO weird.
(after initially posting these envelopes and then looking at my full name and address posted in public web world, I decided that might not be the best idea. and with my limited computer resources at the current time, the best I could do was some uneven black boxes to get real info covered up)
