Trying to anchor the "little engine that could." This is our neighbor's little boat that she lets us borrow in exchange for Dad keeping up the maintenance and stuff on it. It's small but mighty!

Masonboro is a small uninhabited little island right south of the Wrightsville beach island and you can only get to it by boat, which is great because it means it's never even remotely as crowded as the real beach, dogs roam free everywhere, and you never have to find a parking spot or pay the meter! (though holiday weekends like this and July 4th tend to have the waterway pretty crowded with boats).
these next few pictures would be lily in dog heaven:

She's getting pretty good at catching the frisbee in the air - i'll have to try and get a video.

This is an example of the crowds we were fighting with all day.
Kate, my best friend from home from way back, got a new car ... pretty fancy huh!

Saturday night, Kate brought over her new puppy dog Riley to join the craziness with Lil and Bailey (my brother Michael's puppy dog).

I cannot wait to go out there next summer! Those chairs won't get any use... well, maybe you and Andy can hold the baby while you read or whatever you do sitting still and John David and I can body board again :) We so miss you and are quite jealous we couldn't go with you this weekend!
